            MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides unparalleled health care services; advocates for the families it serves; and invests significant resources educating the medical and scientific communities, as well as the general public, about neuromuscular diseases affecting more than 1 million Americans.

            MDA maintains a nationwide network of some 200 hospital-affiliated clinics — 38 of which are designed as MDA/ALS centers — that provide unparalleled medical and health care services to adults and children with neuromuscular diseases.

About Coach Gary Campbell

When it comes to UO football, everyone knows Assistant Coach, Gary Campbell. What most duck fans may not know is that Coach Campbell's son, Bryan, was diagnosed at birth with a neuromuscular disease.

The Campbell's are thankful for the support of the MDA and the numerous resources that are available to Bryan and the family. Coach Campbell has been on the MDA Mike Bellotti Dinner Auction and Golf Classic planning committee for several years and has attended MDA classes for families struggling to cope with the disease.

Coach Campbell and Coach Bellotti team up with MDA for these events in order to raise funds and awareness for those living with neuromuscular diseases.

About Mike Bellotti

Mike Bellotti was born Robert Michael Bellotti on Dec. 21, 1950 in Sacramento, Calif. He currently works as a college football analyst for ABC and ESPN.

Born in Concord, California, Bellotti played basketball and baseball at the University of California, Davis. He was also a tight end and wide receiver for the school’s football team. He received his B.A. in physical education and completed teaching credentials before earning a Master of Science in physical education at Cal State-Hayward.

Bellotti was hired as the Oregon Ducks’ football offensive coordinator in 1989 and was head coach from 1995 to 2009. Bellotti is the Ducks’ winningest coach with a 116-55 record.

In July 2009, he resigned to become the school’s athletic director, and in March 2010, he joined ESPN as an analyst.

For 18 years, the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and Mike Bellotti have teamed up to help local families living with neuromuscular diseases. His involvement with MDA continues to improve the lives of those living with Muscular Dystrophy.
